Not a fan of Brussels sprouts? You might change your mind when you try this light and refreshing salad from Giada De Laurentis. Tender Brussels sprout leaves are paired with peppery baby arugula, Pecorino Romano cheese and toasted almonds. Drizzle it with the citrus flavored dressing and you’ve got a salad you’ll want to make over and over again.

California Pizza Kitchen serves a mixed green salad and tops it with a delicious Dijon Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing that’s so easy to make. All you need are a few ingredients and a whisk. Don’t be tempted to throw these ingredients into a food processor because it emulsifies the dressing too much and it becomes too thick. When you’re ready to serve this salad, don’t toss it, drizzle the dressing on the top so you can enjoy the flavor even more.
Pure comfort food. That’s what potato salad is for me. Problem is I get so comforted, I can’t stop until I hit the bottom of the bowl and that translates to where it ends up on me!
I’m hooked on Tyler Florence and in honor of Football season and tailgating being right around the corner I wanted to try his Ultimate Potato Salad. I love the addition of capers and there’s also the secret ingredient, lemon, that makes it taste really bright. Bring this dish to any party, and I’m pretty sure you’ll get invited back!
If you’re in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, or Dallas and visit Tom Colicchio’s Craft Restaurants, you can try this delicious Shallot Vinaigrette OR you can make it at home. Simple, easy to make, and with great depth of flavor, this is one you’ll want to try. Do you know Tom? He’s a judge on the hit TV show Top Chef and recently received the James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef in 2010.
Who doesn’t love the bottomless salad at Olive Garden? It comes to your table already tossed with great ingredients and its easy to make a copy kat at home. I use To Die For Dressing on this salad. Olive Garden sells their own dressing for take out so try them both and decide for yourself which tastes best, the original or the Copy Kat!
Houstons Restaurant used to have this popular salad on their menu and they served it with honey mustard or the ever so healthy hot bacon dressing. When they stopped serving it, I started making it at home. I top mine with balsamic vinaigrette and it’s just as good as I remembered.
Watermelon, Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries are my favorite summer fruits and they’re perfect for a picnic or a cook out on the 4th of July. If you stick to just eating fruit, you’re sure to not gain any weight but it’s hard to have self-control at a cook out! Tomorrow, I’ll be grilling again with Corn on the Cob and after that I’ll give you a recipe for a delicious summer time dessert, Blueberry Cobbler with Haagen Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream.
