And the winner of the Chicken Chili Cook Off is…….Smokey Chicken Chili!
You can’t go wrong with either of these chicken chilies but this was the winner by a slight margin because there are so many contrasting flavors ….white beans and black beans , poblano peppers and red peppers, etc. Any of the usual chili toppings taste great with this; cheddar cheese, red onions, sour cream, and cilantro. Little fritoes are my favorite topping because they add salt and crunch and make this chili even tastier but I forgot them, so add them to your list.
If I’ve inspired you to have a chili cook off at your house, send me your winning recipe and I’ll put it in the running for my next contest!
